Asslam o alaikum,
brother and sisters i am using oracle 10g and want to start the week from saturday. Can anyone help me in doing so?

The first day of a week is determined by the NLS_TERRITORY parameter. Among other things (such as date format, decimal character and group separator etc.), it specifies first day of the week.

Set it to any valid value which supports Saturday as the first day of the week (I don't know any; there are countries that take Sundays or Mondays as the beginning, but Saturday ... no idea).

If there's no such a country, perhaps you could create your own function which would return "current first day of the week - 1" (or -2, depending on whether it is set to Sunday or Monday).
