the listener is up on the box.
i can connect to the db instance using EM.
but still the status for the listener shows "down" for the instance in EM.
then i tried to start the listener from EM - it gave an error saying the listener is already up and running.
but the status for the listener still shows as down in EM.
what gives?
appreciate the feedback.

agent - are you talking about the emagent? yes it is running.
i can connect to the instance using EM.
the listener is running on the host.
but it shows as status down on EM.
though when i try to start it from EM, it says that the listener is up.
