Hi,

We have an existing Oracle 9i installation which works fine. When connecting to it via ODBC on a client PC, we use the TNS Service Name OEMREP.

However, we would like to install and use Oracle on a separate server on our network. Whenever we do this, we cannot connect to the Oracle database regardless of which TNS Service Name we use. We also cannot connect to our working installation from the server which has the new installation of Oracle.

I'm guessing that both installations are using the TNS Service Name OEMREP, but I'm fairly lost here.

Anyone have a solution ?

Best.

Matt.

did you create a TNS Service Name OEMREP in the client to connect to the new installation?
