Hello every body!

I have 2 Blocks emp, emp_prompt, empno,ename,sal are the text_items in emp block and empno,ename,sal are the display items canvases are emp, emp_stack(STACKED) and i want to show both blocks items in emp_stack stacked canvas , at the same time i want to display an item of emp block in emp canvas..is this possible?

(I have difficulties in understanding what you are saying, but) I'd say that YES, it is possible.

Although, as it seems that both blocks are based on the same (EMP) table, what do you expect to accomplish with such a layout? They share the same columns (EMPNO, ENAME, SAL). If all items that belong to the second block are DISPLAY items, you can't navigate to that block. Is that OK?

Are these blocks related? If not, you'll probably see bunch of unrelated information on the screen.

So, what problem are you trying to solve? Maybe there's a better approach.

I have emp block as database block and another one emp_prompt also a block but non-database having displayed_items...

Ok,

I changed properties of emp and emp_prompt blocks canvas name into emp_stack, so, the emp canvas shows empty, no items are there..so,please clarify my query?

Hi cookiemonster,

My question was that i want to display items on canvas and also on stacked canvas, same items in both blocks and also display items on canvas , can you please help me?

What is stopping you from doing that? Set canvas you want in item's Property Palette.
