YES, the bigger the better!

other then this, ... it depends on what you'll be running. you can get some good information from benchmark sites like:
www.tpc.org

you will want to look at the different benchmarks and use the ones that match your proposed system.

Hello,

rather then building and applying oracle sizing rules yourself, you can try our sizing website http://www.sizinglounge.com

It allows you to do a user based sizing for various oracle software. As a result you get list of suitable server options from hp, ibm, dell and sun.
